I am having a problem with my 1and1 root server running CentOS. The problem I have is that my web-server times out or is simply not reachable when I try to access it via any means. When I go into the recovery mode, I am able to see everything working fine and the disk partitions are all ok and I can see no error messages in the logs to tell me what the problem is.

Please help, as I do not want to have to do a clean install and start again as this would take considerable time and there is always the chance that I would lose emails etc while the webs server is being backed up and restored etc.
